Earnings, transfers and fiscal details
Updated October 23, 2026 · 12 min read
Paid lessons and courses have separate steps for fiscal details and payouts. Follow the steps shown for the product you offer.
Earnings and the lesson behind each payment
In Earnings, select the payment month (UTC) to see net amounts after adjustments and held amounts, separately by currency. Net earnings do not confirm receipt in your bank: check Stripe for that status. Group lessons combine student transactions; expand the list for individual amounts and billing details. Choose View lesson for details, participants, chat and available actions. Students and parents have the same button in My lessons → Payments, with only the buyer’s payment displayed. Student and parent payments use the lesson month, with the payment date shown separately. Summaries cover loaded pages in the selected month and are marked partial while pages remain. Teacher CSV export becomes available after the whole month is loaded.
For Romania, you start with the CUI
If paid lessons are available for your account, open Tutor account → Settings → Fiscal details and payouts. This setup has three steps: Company details, Details, Review and submit. On the Romania form, the first screen asks only for the CUI (tax ID). Select "Search the company", and the legal name, registered address, trade-register number and VAT status are filled in automatically from ANAF. You do not need to type or edit them. The legal form (PFA/II or SRL) comes from the same response.
You only need to add the postal code, if ANAF did not include it, and, depending on your legal form, either your date of birth if you get paid as a PFA or individual enterprise, or the person who teaches and their relationship to the company if you get paid through an SRL. The form does not ask for a Romanian personal numeric code (CNP). If the ANAF details are wrong, select "These details are wrong" to correct them. A CUI that cannot be found, an inactive company or a different VAT status must be corrected. If the difference could still refer to the same person or company, a team member checks the information.
If the activity is registered in another country or you also have tax residence abroad, choose Another country and complete the international form in five steps. In the first step you choose your registered activity or the organization you represent and confirm you are a professional; as a private individual without a registered form you cannot offer paid lessons. Tax residence, the country that issued the TIN and the Stripe account country are different pieces of information.
You can continue to Stripe only after Hola25 shows Fiscal details verified. Submitting or checking your fiscal details is not legal or accounting approval and does not automatically activate paid lessons. If the business is VAT registered, say so in the form; paid lessons stay available.
Set up course payouts separately
If you offer courses, use Stripe setup in the Creator dashboard or Earnings. Course setup happens inside Hola25 and is separate from the fiscal details required for paid lessons.
A free course does not require Stripe. For a paid course, the Paid option must be available and the course checks must be complete. A ready Stripe account does not start paid-course sales on its own.
Continue on Stripe's website
Continue to Stripe creates a temporary link and sends you to Stripe's website. There, complete the information Stripe requests for your country and business type, identity checks, and the account where you receive money. If the link expired or was already used, create a new one.
After you return to Fiscal details and payouts, Hola25 checks the information. Returning from Stripe does not mean setup is complete. If details are missing or Stripe requests new information, use the displayed action. When available, Open Stripe Express lets you manage the account directly in Stripe.
Understand what Hola25 checks
Stripe checks identity and account details for its own services. This is not teacher vetting by Hola25 and is not pedagogical approval. It also does not replace the fiscal details in Hola25 or the checks needed for DAC7.
After Stripe setup, Hola25 checks whether the information matches the person or business in your fiscal details. The screen tells you whether everything is ready, a team member is still checking the information, or you need to correct a difference. If it asks you to fix the bank account in Stripe, make sure you have exactly one bank account there, in RON; until then you cannot offer paid lessons. Full bank details are not displayed.
The screen also tells you which side the difference is on and what differs. If the message names the Stripe account — the account name, the bank account holder, the account type (individual or company) or the country — the wrong information is in Stripe, not in your Hola25 details. Correct a different name in Stripe; fix a different holder by replacing the bank account in Stripe with one under the name in your fiscal details, without adding a second account. We re-run the check automatically afterwards. The account type and the country are not fixed by changing the name: if you cannot correct them in Stripe, contact support. If both names are correct and describe the same person or business (an SRL paid into the manager's own account, for example), contact support: a team member can accept the difference. If the message asks you to correct your Hola25 details instead, the difference is on the fiscal side and is fixed in the Hola25 form.
Restart or correct your fiscal details
If your teaching application is approved and your fiscal details are being checked or have been verified, you can use Restart Step 1 from the beginning before you start Stripe setup for lessons. After confirmation, an empty form opens. Nothing changes until you submit the new details. Your previous details stay in your history, and you cannot continue until the new ones are checked.
After Stripe setup has started, you can no longer restart everything from the beginning. Use Correct Hola25 details or Open Stripe, depending on which information changed. After a change, Hola25 may check the details again.
Trial lessons remain separate: they do not require fiscal details, Stripe setup or a request to activate paid lessons. Checking these details does not stop Trial lessons.
See when each amount can be paid
When paid lessons are available for your account, You are ready to get paid means the fiscal details and payout account are ready and belong to the same person or business. It does not automatically mean an offer is public or every amount can be transferred immediately.
An amount may remain pending even after setup is complete. Earnings shows separately when each amount is confirmed, adjusted or transferred. A lesson amount is based on the fiscal details that were valid when the payment was made. A later change to VAT status does not recalculate it.
Your student's billing details
Hola25 does not issue invoices for you. For every confirmed amount from a paid lesson, Earnings shows "Student billing details": the payer's name or company, their tax ID if a company paid, the address and the invoice email. "Copy details" puts all of it on the clipboard, ready to paste into your invoicing tool. The same details are in the CSV export, in their own columns.
These are exactly the details the payer gave at checkout, the same ones we already email you when you have a document to issue. They do not change later: if the payer updates their fiscal details afterwards, the invoice for the lesson already paid stays on the details of that moment.
The details appear only once the amount is confirmed. While the lesson has not happened or the amount is still pending, you see a short message instead. Use them only to issue the invoice for that lesson.
DAC7 details and the 60-day payout pause
EU DAC7 rules require platforms to report the tax identification details of teachers who get paid through the platform to the Romanian tax authority once a year. After your first paid lesson we email you a request for whatever is missing: legal name, address, country of tax residence and tax identification number (CNP, CUI, or a TIN from another country). If you have no tax identification number, you can declare the reason instead — that does not block you.
You complete it in the same place you submitted your fiscal details: Tutor account → Settings → Fiscal details and payouts. The missing information is part of that fiscal form, not a separate one. You do not need to reply to the email.
If the details are still missing, you get two reminders, at 21 and 42 days after the initial request. At 60 days we are required to pause payouts. Your lessons continue and no money is lost: the amounts stay recorded and wait. You cannot be paused before the request reaches you — the 60 days are counted from that request, not from your first lesson.
You do not have to rely on the email. While the details are missing, your teacher account shows a warning that links to the fiscal form: "Complete your DAC7 details so your payouts are not suspended after 60 days." If payouts do end up paused, the account status says so directly — "Payouts are on hold until you complete your DAC7 details" — with the same button to the form.
Once you complete the details, the weekly check can lift the pause. Payout processing can resume automatically when no other blocks remain. If your payout requires manual approval, the team still needs to approve it. Amounts stay recorded while they wait for checks, approval or the funds to become available in Stripe. If several days have passed and the payout still has not started, contact support.
Frequently asked questions
How do I set up payments to get paid on Hola25?
If paid lessons are available for your account, open Tutor account → Settings → Fiscal details and payouts, submit your fiscal details, then continue on Stripe's website. For courses, use Stripe setup in the Creator dashboard or Earnings; the two setups are separate.
I offer courses only. Can I set up payouts from Earnings?
Yes, when the option is available for your account. Use Stripe setup in the Creator dashboard or Earnings. The fiscal details for paid lessons do not replace this setup, and the Paid option must be available separately.
Must tax residence, TIN country, and Stripe country be the same?
They are not the same concept. Declare every tax residence, separately select the country that issued each TIN, and choose only the correct option for the Stripe account offered by Stripe. Hola25 checks and compares them without assuming they are equal.
What happens when I return from Stripe?
Hola25 checks the information received from Stripe. Returning to Hola25 does not mean setup is complete; follow the displayed message and action.
I got an email about DAC7 details. What do I need to do?
Open Tutor account → Settings → Fiscal details and payouts and complete what is missing: legal name, address, country of tax residence and tax identification number. If you have no such number, declare the reason instead. Do not reply to the email. If you do not complete it, you get reminders at 21 and 42 days, and at 60 days payouts are paused until you submit the details.
My payouts were paused over DAC7 details. Do I lose the money?
No. The amounts stay recorded and your lessons continue as normal. After you complete the details, the weekly check can lift the pause and processing can resume automatically if no blocks remain. Any manual approval required for your payout is still needed. If several days have passed and the payout still has not started, contact support.
It says the Stripe name doesn't match. Which side do I fix?
Fix the name in your Stripe account — that message appears precisely because the difference is there, not in your Hola25 fiscal details. If both names are correct and describe the same person or business, contact support: a team member can accept the difference.
What information do I need to provide in Stripe?
Stripe shows the information required for the account country, business type, identity check and payout account. Complete only what Stripe asks for there; the fiscal details in Hola25 remain separate.
Which route should I choose if my activity is registered in Romania?
Enter the CUI on the Romania form. The rest of the company details are filled in automatically from ANAF, and the legal form (PFA/II or SRL) comes from the same response. If you have mixed circumstances or the activity is registered in another country, use Another country for the international form. Submitting your fiscal details is not legal or accounting approval and does not activate paid lessons on its own.
Can I enter my fiscal details again from the beginning?
Yes, while your teaching application is approved, your fiscal details are being checked or have been verified, and you have not started Stripe setup for lessons. Restart Step 1 from the beginning opens an empty form, and your previous details remain in your history. After Stripe setup starts, correct the details in Hola25 or Stripe, as appropriate.
Can I activate paid lessons if I am VAT registered?
Yes. Say in the form that you are VAT registered, your fiscal details are checked like anyone else's, then you continue to Stripe. Checking the details does not activate them on its own.
Why do I see corrections or information under review?
A field may be missing, a source may be temporarily unavailable, or the information may not yet confirm the same person or business. Correct only the fields shown, and do not resubmit unless Hola25 asks you to.
What if the information in Stripe does not match my fiscal details?
Use Correct Hola25 details or Open Stripe, depending on which information is wrong. You cannot continue until the details in both places refer to the same person or business.
How do I change account information or my bank account?
For fiscal details, use Correct Hola25 details; this creates a new version. For account information or the bank account, use Open Stripe Express. After a change, Hola25 may check the details again.
I only offer Trial lessons. Do I need this flow?
No. Trial lessons do not require paid-lesson activation, fiscal details or Stripe. These steps apply only when paid lessons are available for your account and you receive transfers.
Why are my earnings pending instead of available?
Each lesson or course amount must be confirmed before it can be adjusted or transferred. Even when your details and account are ready, check Earnings to see what is happening with that amount.
Can Hola25 guarantee how much I will earn?
No. Rates and previews show the student price and your estimated amount before your own taxes and contributions. Booking volume, cancellations and confirmation timing are not guaranteed income.
