Choose once whether to offer 25 or 50 minutes, and the option applies to all approved and active subjects. The person making the booking pays the displayed price, and you are not paid for the trial lesson.
A trial lesson lets the student see how you teach before you both decide whether to continue.
Turn the option on once, and the catalog may show a “Trial lesson” card for each subject that meets the requirements. From a card, the student opens the subject page and booking.
A student who has seen you teach in a trial lesson understands your style better. You choose whether to offer 25 minutes, 50 minutes, or both.
The payment stays with Hola25 for the platform services; you are not paid for the trial lesson, including after a late cancellation or no-show.
You set available slots in your own timezone. The platform handles scheduling, payment, the video room and reminders. Choose manual approval or instant confirmation; only manual requests need your reply.
The start guide follows your profile, availability, subject, durations, documents, and booking rules. After setup, you manage them in Teacher account.
From Overview, the setup card opens the start guide. Trial lessons do not require a tutoring listing.
Save your display name, date of birth, and photo. The guide requires these before it continues.
First save availability with real recurring times and exceptions. After setup, the calendar and booking rules remain under Availability.
In the start guide, complete the description and indicative RON price with duration to continue; qualifications are optional. Then submit the subject for approval after reviewing the details.
In the Trial lesson step, choose 25 minutes, 50 minutes, or both, read and accept or sign the displayed documents, then select Activate. Your choice applies to all approved and active subjects. If a subject is still under review, your choices stay saved and the offer may turn on automatically after approval. If anything is still missing, Overview tells you what to do. Paid lessons are set up separately through the steps shown in Tutor account.
Trial remains on Overview, the calendar and Booking rules under Availability, and documents in Settings → General. Choose manual approval or instant confirmation, minimum notice, booking window, buffer between lessons, and pausing new bookings. Only manual-approval requests need a reply within 24 hours.
Trial lessons only work for everyone if every teacher treats them like any other lesson. Here are the rules of the game:
Reply to manual-approval requests
If you chose manual approval, accept or refuse the request within 24 hours. Unanswered requests expire and initiate a full refund; instant-confirmation bookings are scheduled directly and do not need this reply.
Show up, on time
The video room opens 5 minutes before the start. A possible no-show enters review; if your absence is confirmed, a full refund is initiated for the booking payment, and repeated no-shows can get your trial lessons suspended.
Cancel only with a reason
You can cancel a scheduled lesson only by stating a reason. If the booking has already been paid, cancellation starts a full refund. Frequent cancellations hurt your credibility.
Know that the lesson is recorded
Before activation, you separately confirm that the lesson is recorded. Only the audio, video, and screen content you enable is recorded; you may keep your camera off where the room permits. The teacher and people with access to the lesson may view the recording. Authorised Hola25 staff may review it only for safety, refunds, or disputes. The recording may appear late or contain interruptions or missing parts. Access expires within 90 days; playback is then blocked and deletion begins. See the Terms for full details.
Teach, don't sell
Use the selected duration for content, not a sales call. The student should walk away having learned something.
Keep your availability current
The slots you show must be slots you can actually teach. Block out days you're unavailable ahead of time.
The person making the booking pays the displayed price for the selected duration, supporting the platform (scheduling, secure payment, video room, attendance tracking, support).
For eligible subjects, the catalog may show “Trial lesson” cards, and the student opens the subject page and booking from there. Classic direct-contact listings do not include trial lessons.
In the guide, complete your profile, availability, and subject, then choose durations, read and sign the Trial documents, and select Activate. If the subject is still under review, your choice stays saved and the offer may turn on automatically after approval. If anything is still missing, Overview shows the next step.
No — the booking fee covers the platform's costs (secure payment, video room, attendance tracking, support). The trial lesson is your tool for winning long-term students.
You can cancel before the start by stating the reason. If the booking has already been paid, cancellation starts a full refund. Try to cancel as early as possible — late cancellations and repeated no-shows can get your access to trial lessons suspended.
Yes. From your teacher settings you can stop and resume receiving new requests whenever you want. Already-scheduled lessons remain valid and must be honored or canceled with a reason.
Approval allows the subject to be published on the platform; it does not certify the teacher's identity, qualifications, or suitability. If you already chose trial lessons, the offer may turn on automatically after approval. If anything is still missing, Overview shows the next step.
Complete your profile, availability, and subject, choose durations, read and sign the documents, then turn trial lessons on for all approved and active subjects.
