A good place to start
Explain whether your goal is an exam, conversation or learning the basics. For IELTS and Cambridge, share the test, current level and deadline. Ask how writing and speaking feedback works, then check lesson format and duration.
Start with a real situation.
An interview, presentation or difficult conversation can be the starting point for your preparation.
Specify your IELTS test type, target score and deadline. Ask how listening, reading, writing and speaking are practised and reviewed. The filter requires an explicit preparation offer; a tutor holding a certificate is not enough.
Discover teachers →Specify the Cambridge exam and level you are targeting. Discuss the tutor’s stated experience with that format, materials and feedback on written and spoken tasks. Confirm that the preparation covers your exam.
Discover teachers →Choose situations where you want to speak more comfortably: travel, work or everyday conversations. Ask how much speaking time you get and how mistakes are corrected. Agree on topics suited to your level and interests.
Discover teachers →Share what you already know and where you want to use English. Ask how preparation begins, what to practise between sessions and how vocabulary, grammar and speaking fit together. The label requires an explicit beginner offer.
Discover teachers →Show the tutor where you got stuck and what you already tried. Ask where you would begin, what to practise between sessions and how progress will be reviewed. This label requires explicit catch-up or learning-gap support.
Discover teachers →Compare the amount and session duration, then individual or group format. An indicative price for continuing outside the platform is not a trial lesson price. Confirm the details in the listing before starting.

Good to know
A few answers before choosing your teacher.
Select IELTS for offers explicitly providing preparation. Specify your test type, target score and deadline. Ask how writing and speaking are practised and how feedback is given.
Discover teachers →Filter by Cambridge, then check the exact exam and level in the listing. Discuss materials, practice tests and feedback; a general label does not confirm every Cambridge exam.
Discover teachers →Conversation keeps offers explicitly describing speaking preparation. Share where you want to use English and ask about speaking time, correction and topic selection.
Discover teachers →Choose Beginners for offers specifying support at a basic level. Share what you know and what you want to do in English, then discuss pace and practice between sessions.
Discover teachers →Use Online only with your learning goal. Check session length and ask how speaking, exercises and feedback work remotely.
No. A personal score or certificate does not establish a preparation offer. The IELTS selection requires an explicit teaching offer; check the quote and discuss relevant experience.
Discover teachers →Compare the listed rate, duration, individual or group format and learning goal. Ask which materials and feedback are included, then confirm the price and availability.
