Video classroom and lesson recordings
Updated August 25, 2026 · 4 min read
The video classroom opens from the lesson page and uses browser permissions for camera and microphone. Recording follows the consent and rules shown to participants.
Prepare your device
Before the lesson, allow camera and microphone access, close apps using the same devices and check your internet connection. Use Choose another microphone or camera before joining, or Audio and video settings in the classroom header after joining. Reload the page after changing browser permissions.
If the classroom does not open
The message on the page explains whether you need to wait for the lesson window, use the correct participant account, complete a step shown in the booking, or try again after a temporary problem. Do not try to bypass a setup or access step.
Use Try again only when the button is shown. In other cases, return to your lessons and check the current booking status. If the problem continues, open Technical details and send the displayed code to support.
Access recordings safely
When a lesson is recorded, the attendee sees the notice first, and Hola25 keeps the agreement from the person allowed to give it. If a parent booked for a child, the parent who paid gives the agreement. Access and retention periods are explained in the product and the Privacy Policy.
At this time, the whiteboard used from the Tools panel and the content opened on it are not included in the lesson recording. The recording may include enabled audio and video, plus content shared separately through screen sharing.
In a group lesson, the tutor and accepted participants who are present when a recorded part begins can view it. If a new participant joins later, the current part stops and another begins for the group present then; the new participant cannot view the earlier part. If someone who already had access leaves and reconnects, they can still view the part they already had access to. Hola25 staff may check a recording only for safety, refunds, or disputes.
The recording can be played only while your access remains active. Access ends no later than 90 days after the lesson, and deletion then begins. While deletion is in progress, the file remains blocked and cannot be opened.
Frequently asked questions
My camera isn't working in the lesson. What do I do?
Refresh and accept the camera permission when the browser asks; if it still doesn't work, another app is probably already using it — close it and rejoin the lesson.
The tutor says they can't see or hear me. What do I check?
Open Audio and video settings from the classroom header and choose the correct microphone, speaker, or camera. If the device is missing, check browser permissions and reload the page.
I got disconnected from the lesson. How do I rejoin?
Use Rejoin the call if the button appears after you leave. If it is not shown or the connection drops, return to the lesson page and join the video classroom again.
Where do I find the lesson recording?
The recording appears on the lesson page after the lesson ends if your access remains active. Immediately after the lesson, you may see “We’re still processing the recording. Come back later.” Close the dialog and return later; you do not need to keep it open. A technical issue can make the recording unavailable, and the page shows its current state.
How long does the recording remain available?
Access ends no later than 90 days after the lesson, and deletion begins then. After access ends, the recording can no longer be played. If deletion takes time, the file remains blocked and cannot be opened.
The screen is black in the video classroom. What should I try?
Reload the page, check the browser's camera permissions and try another browser if the problem continues.
The classroom says a recording step is missing. What do I do?
Return to the lesson details and follow the step shown for the tutor or participant attached to the booking. The classroom stays closed until that step is complete; if no action is available, send support the code from Technical details.
Does the whiteboard appear in the lesson recording?
No. The collaborative whiteboard opened from the Tools panel, including drawings, images, and documents displayed on it, is not currently included in the recording. It remains available for collaboration during the live lesson.
