Cancel or reschedule a lesson
Updated August 21, 2026 · 2 min read
Available actions depend on the lesson type, who booked it, and the time remaining before it starts. The booking page shows what will happen before you confirm.
Review the booking options
Open the lesson from your bookings area and review the available actions. The rules shown and accepted when you paid still apply; later changes to the general rules do not change your existing booking.
When rescheduling, you see only times that can be used for that booking. The lesson duration stays the same. If a time cannot be identified clearly because the clocks change, it is not shown and you choose another one.
Confirm only after seeing what will happen
Read the displayed percentage and status, choose the requested reason, and confirm. The refund may start, the case may go to the team for review, or cancellation may be unavailable. During review, the lesson and payment do not change.
If the tutor or the Hola25 team cancels the lesson, Hola25 starts a full refund to the person who paid. The complete rules remain in the Refund Policy, while the lesson page shows the current status.
For a lesson booked for a child, the child sees the update in their account, while the parent who paid receives one notification and, when enabled, an email.
Frequently asked questions
How do I cancel a booked lesson?
Open the lesson from your bookings area and choose Cancel, if it is still available; check the deadline and amount before confirming.
How do I reschedule a lesson?
Open the lesson and choose the reschedule action, if it is shown; pick another available time slot and the booking updates once confirmed.
How far in advance can I cancel without a cost?
The exact deadline appears on the lesson page because it depends on the booking's status and how much time is left before it starts; canceling closer to the start may have a consequence shown before you confirm.
I was late for my lesson. Does it get canceled automatically?
Not automatically on the spot — open the lesson as soon as you can; the booking page shows whether you can still join or what actions are available for your situation.
What happens to my money if I cancel?
The amount shown before you confirm tells you exactly what happens to the payment; full rules are in the Refund Policy, and the lesson page shows the outcome for your case.
